Bunch of dinosaurs that are out of touch @carberygaa just able towipe the slate clean because they didn’t foresee such a situation play out. How can you allow a team give a walk over then play the remaining 2 games but because it doesn’t suit agendas regard them as null and void

Took me 40 mins of my own time to tidy up after the last game. Frustrating when there’s 3 big green bins on the grounds. Pick up the rubbish after you.

I may regret this, but for now, David Clifford is still a bit over rated and judged still by Minor exploits. He is an amazing player, and could be a great. But to be calling him best player ever now is mad talk. He has been shut down numerous times in last 2 years.

@ClubsCork @officialgaa @AIB_GAA @OfficialCorkGAA Its the GAA itself & the County / Divisional Boards that want to go cashless. Not clubs. The clubs are against this. Clubs want their members, particularly older members; not used to buying tickets online; to have the option of paying, by cash, at the gates.

Saw a lot of @officialgaa clubs giving @AIB_GAA a hard time over taking away cash services especially for the elderly in their community. Can I pay cash at any @OfficialCorkGAA matches this weekend?

Of course they are falling. My 72 year old mother was taken by ambulance yesterday at 1pm due to breathing difficulties. Tested positive in hospital and was thrown out of hospital at 7pm last night. Had a very hard night last night and looks like another 1 tonight. Well done.

Encouraging to see #covid hospital numbers falling. The peak of the summer wave has passed thankfully without any need for restrictions. Hospitals have been very busy. Preparing now for the winter wave.

@ClubsCork And you should scratch them off absolutely!! It is damaging the industry and those small businesses badly. I just worry that the outrageous actions of some will lead to all being tarnished, even when many rural hotels (not in hot spots) are being fair.

@Grantie79 No but it is ridiculous. Its the small local business that will close become of this gouging. That extra bit to spend in local shops is being swallowed up in these room rates. A few hotels I would have used regularly in Dublin are scratched off the list.

@ClubsCork Eoghan & Michael called that type of thing out rightly, but it is not the case everywhere. I had to find a room at short notice last Sunday and a good 4 Star between Cork and Dublin was less than €140 B&B. Insurance costs remain the most criminal case of over charging going!

Great piece on #tourism & holidaying in Ireland. Thanks to @EoghanOMW @MichaelVLodge & @fionndavenport for their balanced & fair analysis. Great to see many overseas visitors felt positive. Car hire is a joke, as are some last minute hotel rates, but costs are crippling. 1/2

After years of Covid, everyone wants a holiday - but can the prices here be justified? Irish Tourism Industry Confederation chief @EoghanOMW is with @MiriamOCal now #rtept

As Eoghan said vast majority of hotels are doing their best and acting fairly & are family owned or Irish owned SME’s. Many people who have visited from the UK have said to me they think Ireland is good value. When in the UK recently I found it expensive.

Mick is chatting with @_Mark_Keane, President of PDFORRA, about the Irish Army being put on stand-by to provide assistance to Dublin Airport. Do you think this is good use of the country's Defense Forces?
