BREAKING: A group of women’s sports athletes will file an appeal of the House v. NCAA settlement approval, arguing that it violates the Title IX gender equity statute, @FOS has learned. Story to come.

@MaileyCapital @NFL @Lions But why can you kneel at the end of a game and not get touched and it’s a downed play?

Mr. Gaetz's likely nomination as Attorney General is a perverse development in a truly dark series of events. We would support the House Ethics Committee immediately releasing their report. She was a high school student and there were witnesses.

This is corruption at its core. "The FBI received more than 4,500 calls and electronic messages related to Kavanaugh and was directed to forward the tips to the White House without pursuing any possible leads." #washpo

Should the court bind current grade school students to the House v NCAA settlement? Can the NCAA use this agreement to restrict booster collectives? Does Title IX matter here at all? Our thoughts -hbcboulder.com/news-media-arc…

I’ve hit my social media engagement for the month 🤣🤣 but I wanna give an example for those still confused. Hate: “Caitlin Clark is trash. Why: Because it’s patently false. Also no one has said this. Not Hate: I (insert veteran W player) think there will be a challenge rt away cause (many yrs of experience) tell me so. Why: Cause it’s an opinion. Uniquely from a very small elite community of women. You don’t have to agree, that’s sports, but they aren’t subplotting failure. They aren’t ungrateful. They’re pro athletes. They’re competitors. We love that in our men. We revile it in women.

@USATODAY I don't get the argument that refs should ignore fouls that affect the game if its at the very end.

@HeavensFX Come on- are Iowa fans being serious with this? You can’t tell the difference that NONE of those other examples were picked up and tried to be advanced down the field.

Four times the refs missed calling an "invalid fair catch signal" on punt returns during Iowa-Minnesota

You are obviously missing the point. Once the receiving team waves their arms it's an invalid FC signal and they lose the ability to advance the ball. Every play you showed the receiving team DIDNT try to advance the ball. If they did try to advance the ball, then the call should be made.

@DavidEickholt Sadly, its close enough that you can't really argue the call. Its a dumb rule.

@HBCSportsLaw It would have been interesting to see if the concussion/CTE litigation played out to a ruling from the court or jury but the 700plus million settlement maybe speaks to the legitimacy of the players' arguments.

Title IX and sexual misconduct experts say this is the proper, trauma-informed protocol for how to handle this kind of complaint. Tucker's bosses should not have known the details during an open case.

Important distinction on the Mel Tucker suspension after tonight's press conference: MSU's leadership (including Alan Haller) knew there was a complaint made against Mel Tucker in late December. They did not know any details until last night, a school spokeswoman confirmed.

@SpartyOn21 @BryanDFischer So, a school's decision to take an interim measure like temporary suspension isn't linked to anyone else's privacy rights. By all appearances, it was Ms. Tracy exercising her free speech right that got the suspension moving.

Seems clear the only reason why Mel Tucker isn't coaching against Washington is the story became public. That is the only change to happen since July 25 beyond Alan Haller "observing" the program closer after the report was issued.
