N5 Practical Cake Craft @clydeview_a have been learning their methods of cake production: rubbing in method (scones), whisking method (Swiss roll), melting method (coco flap jacks) & the creaming method (Victoria sandwich). Soon be ready for the functions of ingredients test 💫🌟

1st practical lesson for S1 @clydeview_a learning their kitchen routine & knife safety (precision cutting carrots into batons). Learning the bridge hold & claw grip to keep fingers safe. They served with a healthier version of Dominoes garlic and herb dip 😋 Well done chefs x.

N5 Practical Cake Craft @clydeview_a learned about mechanical & chemical raising agents alongside the creaming method of cake production to produce these wonderful Victoria sponges. They also undertook some sugar paste modelling to finalise their decoration.

N5 @clydeview_a where learning about the melting method and produced these wonderful brownies. They then learned how to plate their food to restaurant standards practicing for their upcoming dining experience. It was a hard task to pick this week’s “chef of the week”!

N5 Practical Cookery worked well last week making Spicy Chicken and Vegetable Parcels 🐓🌶️🥕🧅 One of our main aims was to become more confident when working with Filo Pastry. The class were also developing their questioning skills with Miss Milne 💭 Well done everyone 👏🏻😊

Fantastic fundraising event for @macmillancancer @clydeview_a . Our SFW class organised their 1st event & managed to raise over £300. Think every one agrees that it was a huge success and enjoyed by all. Congrats to our science dept who swept the board with raffle wins 🍀
