Governance style mixed with systemic complacency led us here. It didn't happen overnight. Supporting a club with a broken system is near impossible. Proud of the individuals fighting to make a difference, but the ship is listing hard. Who would want to get on board?

🚨🚨🚨 100TH ANNIVERSARY 🚨🚨🚨 Happy 100th anniversary to the North Central Conference! On March 23, 1926, in an office at Kokomo High School, administrators gathered to officially form one of the most successful conferences in state history. There were 10 charter schools in the NCC: Anderson, Frankfort, Indianapolis Arsenal Tech, Kokomo, Lebanon, Logansport, Muncie Central, New Castle, Richmond and Rochester. The conference has won 100 IHSAA state championships, with Kokomo winning the first in track and field in 1926. The current NCC is made up of Anderson, Kokomo, Lafayette Jefferson, Marion, Muncie Central and Richmond. Other schools that have held membership include Huntington North, Harrison and McCutcheon. Proud of this team. The last two nights of sectional play were some of my proudest moments as a coach. Battling injuries and illness, this group never quit. Thank you to our seniors and this team for an unforgettable 18-7 season. Wildkat Nation should be proud.

Considering the injuries and illness to strike the Kokomo Wildkats (they played only five players last night), this team showed what heart and determination truly is. They nearly pulled off a miracle in Lafayette tonight. This squad never gave up and showed what it means to be a Wildkat and wear the Red and Blue. They can hold their heads high and know how proud Wildkat Nation is of them. THANK YOU to Coach Schauss, our seniors and the entire squad - you gave us a fantastic 18-7 season and a final two games we will remember for quite a while.
