We are aware of the GEFS and HRRR model completion issues. We are working on fixing them now. -Gilbert

Thanks to our awesome IT team, we now have more capacity to deal with the traffic surge today. I don't think we will have any more major issues today, but we'll be monitoring closely (to the level of SIG3! ;-) ) -Gilbert

Some SPC outlook progress today: SPC outlook overlays are NOT working on our satellite pages yet; this will be looked into tonight. Otherwise, they are working on the rest of the site now, BUT no CIG1, CIG2, CIG3 plotting yet. Your continued patience is appreciated. -Gilbert

Hey everyone, A number of SPC, WPC and Fire weather changes broke a lot of stuff on our website this week. We are fixing things as fast as we can, but some fire weather changes are so massive that we will have to rewrite everything to make it work. Please be patient. Thanks! -G

We fixed a forecast sounding issue in Alaska, and a rare problem that occurred over the CONUS. We also are looking into a rare issue where you get an error accessing our website. We apologize for the inconvenience. -Gilbert

We believe that we have found, and fixed, 3 issues with forecast soundings: 1. The forecast soundings would crash and not display any data in mountainous areas; 2. No matter what model you chose, bringing up the raw text portion sounding always brought up the data for NAM /1

Soundings should be back to normal as of 18 GMT. Thanks for your patience!

Website status report, 17:50 GMT, 11:50 AM CST: Our website is back up, but forecast and actual soundings are slow to come up, if they do at all. The core issues are being addressed. We are still looking at everything being back late this afternoon (local time) in full. - Gilbert

Our backend server has suffered another failure. We were hoping a solution would last overnight, but it didn't. We are actively putting in a permanent fix today. Until then, our web site may be down, or data missing. We apologize for the inconvenience. - Gilbert

We found an offending log file that caused our system to crash. We removed it, rebooted, and all is well. Thanks for your patience! -Gilbert

As of 13:20Z, everything appears to be back online. We finished well earlier than what we planned for in a worst-case scenario. That said, we are attempting to finish the 12Z HRRR, which was interrupted by the maintenance. Thank you for your patience! -Gilbert
