“Swinging out to right field” or trying to force your hands to exit down the target line is a great way to ensure you’re going to flip through impact. So many better ways to guarantee that you’ll swing more from the inside.

Everyone is talking about Josh Allen’s golf swing today. It’s minty. I just want to know how much the left assistant teacher gets paid. It can’t be enough to hold hips and eat farts all day. You don’t want that job if I’m the student.

@drakesmith__ I turn it perpendicular to the intended line. To focus on my clubface hitting that line square at impact. Works great for me.

Do you use the line on your ball to putt? I've resisted it for years, felt too analytical, too mechanical. But I like to creep left with my aim and setup, I finally gave it a real chance yesterday. Just practiced lining it up. That's a skill in itself. And here's what surprised me: once the line was set, I stopped thinking about aim entirely. Just read, align, and roll. The ball came off the putter as pure as I've rolled it in a long time. Maybe it's a cheat code. Do you use a line or no line?

@Top100Rick That’s what I was going to say. Instructors are needed to translate what AI can help find. Just like when people learn something from random videos on the internet. It may be the right information but not for that person or their flaw. Bryson knows enough to match feel and real.

IMO, AI will be a tool for golf teachers, not a replacement. Teachers will still be needed for most. But AI can help diagnose and find small things that maybe the human eye would miss. And for a pro golfer who knows his swing, that may be all he needs.

Is there a future where instead of golf teachers, we use AI to coach us? Bryson was struggling. Couldn’t find it in the dirt. He then used AI to diagnose his swing and fired a 65! In theory, AI should diagnose swing faults with precision, correct?

Ana is the best! She works so hard. She deserves it all! I got to know her a couple years ago. She missed a putt on the 72nd. She walked off the green and told me “because I missed that putt, I have to go to Q school.” Heartbreaking. To see her battle back is so great! Go Ana!

I’ve given 14,000 lessons in the last 3 1/2 years online I think I can count on one hand the amount of times a student has been correct in their analysis of their swing While I accept many golfers are aware of their flaws and tendencies, not many are aware of the root cause of why it’s happening It’s why golfers take years to improve something so simple because they’ve never addressed the root cause of that issue It’s why when you hire a coach, you can often fix it in a very short space of time because you’re now working on the right thing
