6’8 Point Forward Blake Nielsen is the best NBA Draft Prospect in Division 2 For the season the senior averaged 18/6/4 while helping St Edward’s finish as one of the best teams in D2 finishing with a 26-9 record. Nielsen also had 16/8/3 in his lone matchup with a D1 opponent against Texas. Nielsen’s mix of passing, shot creation, spot up shooting, finishing, handle, pace, and versatility at his size is extremely valuable and it’s something not a lot of players possess. Nielsen was one of the best playmakers in all of college basketball this season at 6’8 with his ability to be a connective passer, find his teammates off the PNR, or create plays for his teammates. Nielsen is an elite decision maker who has the ability to find his teammates at a high level with his passing vision. Nielsen also has elite touch at the rim and was one of the best creation finishers in D2 where he shot 60% at the rim while also shooting 47% on floaters. Nielsen is also a high level catch and shoot shooter where he shot 37% on catch and shoot threes on 4 attempts a game.
