Rockford Head Coach Kyle Clough and Freeland Head Coach John Fattal both graduated from Corunna HS. John's dad was Kyle's high school coach (made semis in 2003). Kyle coached John (starting PG) at Corunna as head coach. Kyle and John also coached together twice: In Seymour, Indiana and John was the JV coach at Rockford for 2 seasons under Kyle. Today, Rockford competes for the D1 title and Freeland competes for the D2 title.

Ferris State University has launched a fundraising campaign for a new state-of-the-art Indoor Athletics Complex next to Top Taggart Field. The $61.7 million, multi-phase project will feature an indoor track and a multipurpose turf field.
