A lot of back and forth lately on this app, and a lot of judgement without facts, but I want to celebrate a good friend… Brandon Goble (@JUCOadvocate) has been a breath of fresh air in the basketball community since moving into the space over a decade ago. I’ve been lucky enough to know him since the beginning, and there’s a few things that make him unique in our industry; 1) Players first. Brandon’s “hidden agenda” is always taking care of the players. Whether it’s running events, promoting players, or countless phone calls, it’s always been for the players. 2) His celebration of different cultures. Basketball unites people. It creates a unique family tree connected by the game. Brandon not only helps kids from all over the world (without asking for anything), but he also celebrates where they come from. 3) Lack of financial motivation. I remember back at Eastern Florida during one of the first JA48 events, Brandon was talking about how he needed 100+ coaches to buy a packet on Day 2 to NOT LOSE MONEY. Meanwhile, not a single player paid for food, lodging, or event. He could be making A LOT, but his morals and ethics mean more. 4) Unwavering support. This guy is always promoting, marketing, and helping people. He made an important call to Casper College before they offered me the job (without me asking to do so might I add). He does it for players, agents, coaches, and really anyone, as long as they are for the players and do things the right way. 5) Willingness to call out scams, fake schools, accounts, etc. Recruiting is stressful for 95%+ student-athletes. By using his platform, he has saved countless families heartache and money. Sure most of you stopped reading, but I enjoy bragging and celebrating people who have always put the players first. Thankful to call you a friend, and our game is better because of you.

@josedavis5 Worked 4 17u games yesterday and I really wish having a 3 man crew would help big time. I totally agree, the higher gate fees should constitute a pay increase and a 3rd ref for 16s and 17s

@CoachBWhite25 Had this conversation w/ many while my son was competing in AAU. Felt that the HS kids deserved a 3 man crew for their games. Calling those high level games w/ a 2 man crew is rough sledding. W/ entry fees continuing to climb, a 3rd ref and pay increase is definitely attainable

While I’d agree each ref’s performance drops after the 3rd game, but comparing a certification from a coach to an official is crazy talk when it comes to dealing with an AAU environment. Raise the pay equal to you all’s entry fee and maybe refs would cap out @ 3/4 games.
Joseph Logan@CoachJoeLogan

AAU coaches have to be certified through @usabasketball and background checked and registered with @AAU_Basketball AAU players can only play in 2 games per day. I am calling for the same restrictions for refs. Max 3 days per game @NCAAEnforcement

Greg how much do you love 🏀? Me: I’m currently eating breakfast and watching @hoopstonite & @WindhorstESPN talk “money & science for the NBA” at 6:30am and about to go ref an AAU tournament and get graded and critiqued by referees of the ACC, CIAA, SEC & NBA.
