Season 1, Interview 16: Paige Melton, G (WBB) at Augustana College (d3) Vikings 12.10.24 Today, I sat down with this week’s CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week, Paige Melton, a sophomore guard for the Augustana Women’s Basketball Team. We recapped Saturday’s game at North Central and discussed Coach Beinborn’s “in-the-moment” coaching style. Paige shared insights into the physical demands of her increased workload this season, highlighted by her career-high 31-point performance against Elmhurst. Growing up locally in Moline, she reflected on transitioning from competing against former rivals to teaming up with them and even reminisced about her track and field days at Moline High School. She also revealed her plans for the holiday break, her favorite Christmas movie, and her all-time favorite Christmas gift growing up.
