Look closely at this graph and you will see the racial disparity of homicidal deaths in the state of Arkansas since 2000. I'm going hard in on this topic this evening (Tues) at 6 pm. Get in the game with me or catch the podcast at a later time. We cannot remain silent about the violence responsible for the Black male homicide epidemic in our state and nation. 1stand45.com

If you didn't get a chance to join us this evening for 1stand45 with Coach Fitz Hill, below, I have copied the link for your listening pleasure. This episode discussed the research revealing how teenage pregnancies, the void of positive role models associated with violence, and how the lyrics of rap music birth social determinants contributing to Black male homicide epidemic. facebook.com/share/p/18aiJT…

1stand45.com wants to know how many people heard of this double homicide that took place early Sunday morning (March 29th)...nearly 72 hours ago. Why wasn't this deadly assault covered by the media? Probably a better question to ask would be, what would it take for this double homicide to receive the necessary media coverage these deaths deserve? Research conducted by 1stand45.com suggests that Black male homicides receives media coverage only if the following are responsible for the violent deaths: 1. A Black male is killed by the police or law enforcement officers. 2. A Black male is murdered by someone outside of his race. 3. A prominent Black male athlete is a victim of a homicide. 4. A Black male rap artist loses his life due an act of violence. I recently asked a former news reporter why is this the case? He replied frankly and bluntly, "It's not news...it happens so frequently that it doesn't garner attention." Was he lying? No sir. He was telling the truth and that's why the Black male homicidal virus continues to spread. On average, 30 Black males are gunned down daily in the streets of America. Consequently, we continue burying and incarcerating our sons at a higher rate than any other ethnic group. Until we grasp that silence is also violence and understand that to halt this epidemic, a movement must start from within our communities. Unfortunately, regardless of where the blame should be placed for birthing this deadly crisis, no other ethnic group is going to stop us from killing us. That must come from us. I haven't researched the facts of this case; however, I know the the probabilities and could profile the perpetrator with a great degree certainty. That said, I could be dead wrong and quite frankly, I hope that I am. Why? Because I am unfortunately stereotyping without knowing the facts. But remember what my research reveals to me: if the facts were different from my stereotypical conclusions, the case would have garnered national attention and most likely we would have all heard about it Sunday morning. Please read the comments section for more information regarding the deaths.

Muhammad Ali won't be at Arkansas Baptist College's Supper and Soul Gala. However, if you make plans to attend the fundraising event scheduled for April 30th, you might see President Bill Walker dancing down the Soul Train Line to the Soul Food Buffet Line. Please plan to come and join us as The Ohio Players take us back down memory lane as we hit the dance floor to hits such as Love Rollercoaster and Fir-Ya🔥. These old skool jams will prompt us to recall memories of the rotary phones when we often talked to our girl or boy friends on party lines. Do you recall?
