Recent data reports that Black males who dropout of high school face a 70% chance of being incarcerated during their lifetime. At Arkansas Baptist College, our Adult Education Program is now offering career technical training in Welding and CNA to students who are working to complete their GED. It is our desire to assist individuals who need structured and supportive environments, which also comes with love and encouragement. At ABC, we are giving dropouts a place where they can drop back in and be trained in "Skills To Pay Their Bills". This Summer, it is our goal to add CDL Training, Plumbing, and Electrical Certifications within the META24 Workforce Curriculum at the Scott Ford Center for Entrepreneurship.

Last night, the Arkansas Baptist College lost to Nelson University in the first round of the NAIA National Basketball Tournament Championship. I was extremely proud of the team's effort. The boys battled and left it all on the court. What Coach Gerald Watkins and his staff has done in molding this group together to produce one of the most successful basketball season in the College's history is truly amazing. As I look at this photo, I think of Coach Charles Ripley, who as Athletics Director and Head Basketball Coach invested all that he could give to the athletics department and the College in general. I'm committed to elevating my support to promoting Higher Education opportunities through the platform of athletics at ABC. Why? Studies suggest that the young men that you see in this photo may not have been enrolled in college if Coach Watkins and his staff wouldn't have chartered out on a seek and find mission to recruit and enroll them at ABC. The Buffaloes and the Arkansas Baptist College Community desperately needs a state of the art gymnasium. I am praying that God will direct the resources to ABC so we can elevate our support to our student-athletes to match their efforts on the court. God, please hear my prayers. Amen 🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻✝️🙏🏻

The Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes have arrived in Waxachie, TX for the first round of the NAIA National Basketball Tournament. The Buffaloes were 1 of 64 teams selected to ball out in quest of the College's first ever National Championship. When you ball-out, you get called out. The Tournament ballers recently joined me at 103.7 The Buzz as they discussed how they rallied back from being down 10 points to capture the Conference Tournament Championship Title. I was so proud of this team and so happy for these three young men who led the way. From left to right in this photo is: Ty King from Blytheville, Arkansas. He didn't play basketball in 2024-25 and was back home working when he got the call from Coach Watkins. Ty was the big baller shot caller who earned Most Valuable Baller (MVB) of the Continental Athletic Conference Championship Game. Lequan Washington is from Chicago, Illinois who transfered to ABC from William Penn University. Lequan was selected to the All-Tournament Team. He balled out and got the call. Tray'von Thomas is a native of Hayti, Missouri transfered to ABC from Shawnee State Community College. Tray'von was also selected to the All-Tournament Team. After he balled-out, he was called out. Let's give a round of applause to the Balling 🏀 Buffaloes🐃🐃🐃‼️

Today the Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes will compete in the first round of the NAIA National Basketball Championship. We Balled and we received the Call. This is still kinda surreal to me. But GOD✝️.
