Umpired a 10u game this past weekend and I look back to find a dad with a radar gun clocking his son pitching, yelling “focus on your mechanics”.... 10 years old. I don’t get it

Facts. Why wouldn’t you want your kid to love the game naturally? Never heard of a 9 year old getting signed and never will. If your kid is interested in baseball make it fun and exciting. Who cares about results?
