Our Varsity 7on7 team finished 7-3 on the weekend at the KC Elite 7on7 Tournament hosted by Mill Valley. We finished in the final 4 out of 18 teams. A tremendous weekend for our kids, coaches, and program. Thank you to all the family & friends who traveled to support.

We've always had SEL in schools. It was called recess, play, & classes like Music, Art, Physical Education. But they have been reduced or removed to spend more time on testing, & then we wonder why students lack social/ emotional skills & misbehavior that comes with lack of it.

PSA: Showing empathy is not the same thing as coddling a victim-mentality. Empathy is about understanding and acknowledging someone's feelings and experiences. While a good coach does possess the ability to show support and understanding, they also encourage growth, resilience, and empowerment. Coddling does the opposite because it reinforces a mindset that ends up hindering growth and development.
