New research reveals that constant complaining does more than annoy those around you—it can actually weaken your brain.
Every time you focus on what’s wrong, your body releases stress hormones like cortisol, which interfere with neural function and reduce the brain’s ability to adapt and learn.
The impact is not just mental. Elevated cortisol levels can impair memory, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Over time, a habit of negativity can make your brain less resilient, affecting emotional regulation and overall cognitive performance. Essentially, the more you complain, the harder it becomes for your brain to handle challenges effectively.
Shifting your focus from problems to solutions isn’t just good advice—it’s backed by science.
Practising gratitude, positive thinking, and constructive problem-solving can lower stress hormones, strengthen neural pathways, and help your brain remain agile and adaptable throughout life.

REPS MATTER 💯
One thing I know for sure:
the things you do over and over and over—you will get better at.
Repetition is the oldest and most effective form of skill acquisition on the planet. It works. Every time.
Here’s the caveat—reps don’t discriminate.
You don’t just get better at the right things.
You get better at whatever you repeat.
If you rehearse poor habits, negative self-talk, excuses, or comfort… you’ll become elite at those too.
Excellence isn’t an accident.
It’s the result of consistent, intentional reps—done daily—on the things that move you closer to who you want to become.
So choose wisely.
Audit your reps.
Make sure the repetitions in your life are adding value, sharpening your edge, and pushing you toward your best.
Want to get better?
Do the right things…
over and over and over.
Never Stop Getting Better.

Tom Brady explains his mental edge and why practice (not gameday) creates separation.
"There was a part of me that was a psychopath out there. I was extremely hypercompetitive every day. I didn't feel like let's get to Sunday and now it's the time...Every day is the time to give your best, even in practice."
Every day your standards are either reinforced or lowered by how you treat practice.
You don’t flip a switch into excellence. You rehearse it daily.
