"Leach Time" 🏴‍☠️ Before games, Coach Leach had our teams go to the movie theater and watch the newest releases. Why? Sure, he was a huge movie buff, religiously staying all the way through the credits and holding up our buses from leaving. He also loved his movie snacks and was very particular about his popcorn. Early on we used to stay at the Red Lion in Lewiston, Idaho the night before games and go to the theater there. Then we switched it up and started staying in Pullman the night before home games my junior year. But Leach loved the Lewiston theater popcorn so much that he had them prepare a bag and had a younger staff member drive over to pick it up. Haha. But the real reason was to get our minds off the game, relax, and be at ease. He wanted us to enjoy ourselves, have fun, and be loose. Not wound up and uptight about the game. Then we’d come back to the team hotel for our nightly meetings and he’d say: “Alright, it’s football time.” That was our trigger to lock in and focus. The horsing around was over. This back and forth was a constant for our team, ebbing and flowing between “relax time” and “football time.” I believe it was a big reason for our success, helping us recharge and come back more focused and fresh during football time. In fact, I think this same ebb and flow was a big reason for Leach’s long term success as well. While most coaches were grinding in the office 365 days a year, burning themselves out with paranoia, Leach spent his off-seasons in Key West enjoying life outside of football. But when he got back to Pullman, Lubbock, or Starkville, he was back in the saddle during “football time.” I think we could all use a little more “Leach time” in our lives. Stepping away from the grind and truly allowing our minds to relax, be present, and enjoy life outside our work, business, or whatever it is we do so we can recharge for our “football time.” #MindStrength #LeachTime

I’m at a motel tonight near the South Carolina coast, but 10 miles inland. There’s nothing particularly special about this motel, but we noticed the parking lot is COMPLETELY full (in March). I mean, like every room is occupied. When we parked there were Hispanics all along the walkways sitting outside different rooms around the motel. This isn’t a Hispanic area at all. When I turned on YouTube in the room it showed the past logins, and out of the 15-20 I saw, all but maybe 2 were Hispanic names. Is it possible that the government—unbeknownst to Trump—is still shuttling these illegals in & putting them up at motels? I honestly don’t see how it could be any other scenario.

I’m not saying the incident with Ilhan Omar was staged, but a sitting congresswoman is at an event where an unknown man gets up and sprays an unknown liquid on her. She then bravely runs towards him, without reflexive safety reaction as most people would do, to tune him up as her security gets there, without concern for her own safety. Then, instead of taking her to a hospital to get checked out regarding this unknown liquid, she continues her speech as if nothing happened. Totally, totally wasn’t staged. Totally…

RE: Fraud in Minnesota I’m not sure that most Americans understand that in large swathes of humanity, there is no actual concept of “fraud,” particularly fraud against the government. Instead, there is a belief in the virtue of getting away with what you can to help yourself and your tribe. I spent a lot of my life in the Middle East and Central Asia, working closely with foreign contractors and foreign governments to provide support to American military operations. As a US Army officer with a big checkbook courtesy of Uncle Sam, I can’t really count the sheer number of times I was offered bribes to award a contract, or falsify records to do things like create larger (fake) headcounts at places like dining facilities, or to just simply be on the take for future illegal requests. Of course I had enough sense to never comply with such requests. Moreover, they were never explicitly structured as “bribes”; instead it was usually along the lines of “Here I have these Rolexes as gifts for you and your wife to show our friendship.” (Unfortunately, too many US officers and NCOs succumbed to this siren song and ended up breaking rocks in Leavenworth.) The weird thing about this to me was that whenever I turned down such an offering, it was treated as a grave insult. I was the one in the wrong, and not the fraudster trying to bribe me. They considered it rude that I was in their country and refused to accept how things got done. After all, why did I not want to help my tribe by helping their tribe? Let me repeat: in these cultures, FRAUD IS NOT EVEN A CONCEPT. There is only what helps your tribe. Such thought processes are so alien to Americans and much of the West. We are raised on the presumption that our institutions are valid, that the rule of law always prevails, and that integrity is universal. We need these presumptions to have working governments and economies, and without those presumptions—without the mental barrier that causes us not to accept outright fraud—our nation would quickly descend into the economic and social hellscape of countries like…. ummm… you know…. SOMALIA! So when we import people en masse from cultures that accept bribery and fraud as routine, acceptable ways to advance one’s tribe, we should not be surprised that things like the $8 BILLION fraud schemes of the Somali population in Minnesota happen so easily. Introducing a fraud-based culture based on tribalism into America is like introducing some sort of lethal virus into a population that has no natural immunity. The virus will spread and grow, unchecked, because it is so alien to the host. Similarly, a culture of fraud is anathema to American thinking, and it must be cut out before it consumes the host. So when you see and hear patriotic Americans decrying what is happening in Minnesota or elsewhere, and when they seek deportation of the offenders, it is not “racism,” it is not “bigotry,” it is not “xenophobia”; instead, it is preserving the American tradition of responsible institutions and national integrity.

I’m not one of these “everything was better back in my day” people. But I cannot properly describe how much different the 80s were than what we have today. It was fun and happy and patriotic and ridiculous and over the top. It was wonderful. And Hulk Hogan was a big part of it.

Leiomyosarcoma has knocked me on my ass countless times but I kept one shoulder blade off the mat. Life is not about the beatings you’re given but how you respond. This cancer has jumped to the bone in my good leg. Both hips and pelvis, fractured my collarbone in 2 places, shoulder and gone to every major organ, including tumors in nearly all my vertebrae. I believe jump roping and wrestling are two of the reasons I’m still alive. Jump roping is great movement and one of my loves in life. All you need is a rope and shoes.. we’ll shoe in my case 😂. Wrestling teaches you that you can lose for five minutes and 59 seconds but as long as you don’t put both shoulder blades on the mat you can turn a loss into a victory in one second. I’ve been holding one shoulder blade a millimeter above the mat. Hit me pretty hard that I may never jump rope again if there’s to much damage to my right leg. I kept skipping even after sarcoma took my left leg December 2020. If I’m never to jump rope again, my last jump was wearing the gear of a Legendary warrior, Conor McGregor and McGregor Fast. Thank you for the gear, Team McGregor. I will keep kicking cancers ass like a warrior. I can’t know what life has dealt you but I believe every step is a finish line. Pray you cross many. @TheNotoriousMMA @RutledgeMj @McGregorFast
