Here is a Summer baseball reality:
The “free agent every weekend” mindset is not helping serious college prospects.
Playing an inning for one team this weekend and grabbing at bats with another team the next is not exposure. It is instability.
College coaches track patterns. They ask summer coaches about consistency, workload, attitude, and commitment.
When a player jumps team to team, it raises real questions:
Who is managing his development?
Who is tracking his innings?
Who is speaking for him when a college coach calls?
Where is he actually committed?
Recruiting is built on trust and relationships. That takes time inside one system with one staff.
Development takes structure. Pitchers need managed workloads. Hitters need consistent messaging. Catchers need continuity with their staff.
If you are serious about playing at the next level, pick a team and commit. Let that staff develop you. Let that program represent you.
Exposure without commitment does not move the needle.
Consistency does.
