Richmond Hill’s Caleb Easterling (ATH, c/o ‘25) might be the fastest high school football player in the country. Here are some numbers that prove it: Easterling clocked 21.4 miles per hour in the Wildcats’ win on Friday. Two weeks ago, he began the season with a top speed of 21.43. The mark ranked fourth in the nation that week. In all of college football (FBS) in 2023, only five players clocked 21.0+ miles per hour more than once. No player hit that mark more than three times. Easterling’s 21.4 and 21.43 would sit just outside the NFL’s top-20 speeds in 2023. Richmond Hill is 3-0 through three weeks. They’ve outscored their opponents 123 to 40 (41.0 points/game to 13.3 points/game). Speed kills, and Caleb Easterling is leading the Wildcats in a fantastic start to the fall.
