I spoke with 8 men’s college basketball coaches today to gauge what they are doing with recruiting. 2 D1, 3 D2, 2 JUCO, & 1 NAIA. The D1 coaches both said they will do everything they can to not recruit HS unless a top tier player falls into their lap. The JUCO & NAIA coaches said they will recruit HS heavily. 2 of the D2 coaches said they will focus on building via D1/D2/NAIA transfers first and then JUCO and then HS. The other said they will focus on instate HS recruits due to scholarship limitations. All 4 year coaches said if JUCO ends up not counting against 4 year eligibility, they will go HEAVY on JUCO recruits. Take that for what it’s worth to you.
