This weekend Stephen Buchanan confirmed on USA Takedown that he will be staying on with the @HWC_wrestling to wrestle internationally. His plan is to go 92 / 97 kg. After winning a national title Buchanan said coming to Iowa helped him discover his love for the sport. Prior to his transfer he said he only wrestled because he was good at it. Tom and Terry Brands played a large role in Buchanan’s life over the past year. This is a fantastic pickup for the HWC moving forward, and will give the Iowa upper weights a phenomenal practice partner and mentor to learn from.

It wasn’t until one of my coaches went through each run, lift and practice with us until I understood what true leading from the front was. He was willing to do everything asked of is. True leaders look like this.

I don’t think people understand how impressive it is that Burroughs, Taylor and Green made another world team. All in their 30s, all fathers to multiple children, all raising the standard. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I was reading comments under @FloWrestling post about Bo and wow I didn’t realize how many grown men could be triggered by a teenager enjoying the recruiting process and doing it how he wants. Guy 1- great now I have to read about this even longer Solution- unfollow Guy 2- he’s made himself unlikable Solution- don’t be a douche. You can think what you want about however a kid does the recruiting process. You can say you would do it different. You can scroll past it. You can unfollow it. But the fact that you took the time to bash a kid in a comment ( any kid for that matter) who has done nothing wrong but work hard and take a different approach than you says more about you than it will ever say about how he chose to do this process. For those that are gonna hop on here and say well I can give my opinion,.. You’re talking about a child. Get a life.

It always amazes me that every time there’s a school shooting… there’s an idiot that wants to arm teachers. Teachers do NOT sign up for war and shouldn’t be expected to have to shoot someone to save students/themselves. Absolutely wild thought that more guns is the solution.
