We've made the following trade with SF

SS Cooper Pratt @CooperPratt4 Acquired: 6th round (182 overall) pick in 2023 draft Measurables: 6’4”, 195 lbs, 19 years old Cliff Notes: The former Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year was lured away from an Ole Miss commitment to join the Brewers. He jumped right into the Complex League and gave immediate results with an .870 OPS. He continued to show quick hands and a good hit tool, with power still developing. His frame suggests he has room to grow into more power as he fills out. It will have to be seen if he maintains the ability to play SS as he fills out that frame. His height is a bit atypical for the position, and more muscle may move him to 3B. That being said, he is proud of his ability to defend and play shortstop, so until he proves he can’t play there I will believe he can. Pratt was a steal for the Crew in the 2023 draft and his athletic profile, frame, and skills have me super high on his outlook. Pratt was coming off a Gatorade Player of the Year selection in Mississippi and committed to Ole Miss when the Brewers selected him. While taking him in the sixth round, his $1.35M slot bonus valued him in the second round. He got to demonstrate why the Brewers took him right away in the Complex League in 2023. In 12 games, he slashed .356/.426/.444 with two doubles, a triple and four steals. He struck out at a 20.4% clip and offset that with a 9.3% walk rate. He successfully went to the opposite field as well as his pull side, while hitting a similar number of line drives, ground balls, and fly balls. His bat-to-ball skills and frame are easy to get excited about. Defensively Pratt has a strong arm and enough range at SS. Questions may be asked about how his size and future frame project at the position, but for now he should continue to work there. In the event that he does move over to third, he definitely has the skills to man the hot-corner. Pratt’s projection doesn’t have a hole, giving him promise in all five tools. I am extremely excited to monitor his 2024, as he will likely start the year in A or A+. Pratt’s youth and skills give him quite the ceiling and one of my favorite prospects. Profile by @roepcol

People forget how good Barry Zito was.
