One thing that actually annoys me is when a recruit goes and adds me on twitter/x, and say they run track but I search the twitter page and there’s ZERO evidence of it. Remember, you gotta have some type of track stuff on your page if you want to be take. Serious in recruitment

@CoachPVaughan @alecvilliva i ran track in college but never posted anything on social media my main sport was football. and i got to college and wanted to run there coach said ok cause he’s not narcissistic or to good to do background checks i came on the team and eventually won the conference in the 400

@CoachPVaughan @alecvilliva but if he messages you than he obviously showed you interest so just take the time out to look him up it’s not that hard. now if it’s a random person that hasn’t messaged you then you don’t really have to care about him.

@CoachHK_ @alecvilliva LOL ! Come on now, as a coach you should know that people wanting to be recruited will put themselves out there and one big way is their social media and what they put out there. I am not gonna have a back and forth with you because obviously you dont get it

@alecvilliva if the kid sends you a DM or message saying they want to do x,y,x, but when you look at their account its nothing but football or lacrosse or soccer, how do I know this isn't just for show to 'Stunt with interest'. I have seen it before. First impressions matter in that manner.
