Braylon Mullins FOOTWORK off pindowns - stepping 1-2 is footwork every great shooter has in their game 1. Stick inside foot and square your shoulders to the rim 2. Butt down & Knees bent BEFORE catch so you can square and shoot quickly 3. Show passer your palms for a quicker & more controlled release

As an AD, I remind our coaches their job is to develop athletes but also play the best players to win. There will always be parents upset about playing time, and there will always be parents upset about losing. So you might as well coach to win while continuing to develop your athletes the right way.

Whatever happens on Sunday, we can put to rest the notion that Rick Barnes is not the best basketball coach in Tennessee history… He is far and away the best basketball coach Tennessee has ever had in Tennessee is extremely lucky to have him, both as a coach and a man.

Michigan has absolutely dominated this game on both sides of the ball, Tennessee looks lost in transition defense, and scrambling in half court defense, body language bad… not a good showing for the vols.

As an AD, I remind our coaches that building a strong culture is often addition by subtraction. One negative attitude can undo a lot of good. Protect the standard at all costs.

I asked Dan Hurley the same question I asked Tom Izzo: why does the media have a problem with coaches coaching players hard? Hurley: "Society has gotten soft in a lot of ways... The real world is tough and cruel... I'm preparing my players for life."

Rick Pitino shares a masterclass on teamwork and selflessness. "Regardless of how you play, when you play for the name on the front, the back prospers." "When you play for the name on the back, you never prosper. All you are is guys with good stats. That's it." Stats don't win championships - teams do. "Play for the front. Give everything you have for the front name." "Do everything - from diving on the floor, to blocking shots, to setting screens, to playing together. Play for the name on the front." Great teams play for each other. They know connected teams achieve more. "The name on the front is gonna bring big rewards for the name on the back. I guarantee it." "Give it everything you have for this name." The formula is simple: Put the team first, and everything else follows. Play for the front. The back will take care of itself. (🎥St. Johns )

“You guys make it about the wins and losses. 25 years from now, I want them to pick up the phone and call me because they need me. I’m there for them.” The life of a coach is an investment in people, not just points. Build a legacy that outlasts the jersey.
