TW I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Don't put the responsibility on a depressed or suicidal person to reach out to you. If you're aware of their poor mental health, YOU reach out. Your social media posts/comments saying "text me if you need to talk!" mean nothing.

What many people don't realize about ADHD is that our ability to do stuff is limited for the day, and is stronger in the morning. If I work a full time morning shift, by the time I get home I'll be rendered useless and will struggle to cook and take care of myself.

On ADHD + catastrophizing: Do you ever think about the impact of consistently telling kids their ADHD related struggles mean they're lazy, careless etc? No wonder some of us catastrophize- many of us were taught that small mistakes DO make us inherently bad.
