@TraeK_ @jkylemann Interesting, why Dell even say that then 🤷🏾♂️ He also played at Charlotte Christian. That’s a private school so I would be curious about their region / non-region schedule strength during his time there. That would also affect recruitment.

@CoachKadell @jkylemann Thats a tall tale and idk why Dell ever said it. He played AAU every year but one coming up and its really just because he lived in Canada where AAU didnt exist yet
He just wasnt that good until his senior year of HS

@AstPPearson This make no sense, the Big South is on par competition wise with the Southern Conference in which Furman got a 15 seed. It’s clear the committee is not knowledgeable about these mid majors.
High Point played no one out of conference! They had a bunch of home games.

If you're looking for a sneaky pick between seeds 12 and 16, it's sometimes a decent idea to see how they performed vs. legit competition during the season. In this thread, we'll show the margin of victory/defeat for each team seeded between 12 and 16 when facing a team in our top-100.

@DylanWeipz1 That’s very sad man. I wish you all were able to experience those packed arenas like we did. During my time at Winthrop 2004-2008 & 09’ - 10’ students from all aspects attended many sporting events. We also had a large social scene also on weekends. How can we get it back?

@CoachKadell I’ve talked to students. I think there is just no appeal to the students on sports here. Which is a shame cause we have some good sports teams here. It’s been turning for a few years like that and it’s gotten pretty bad. I hope it changes but for now just gotta keep winning.

Do the students at Winthrop know there is a basketball team?
Only students I saw at games were the kid with the Clock and other Athletes.

@DylanWeipz1 Why can’t we get more student attendance at games? What else are the students doing? Not everyone goes home on the weekends. 15-20 years ago going to the Basketball game was the event of the week at Winthrop

@joetar996 We didn’t have this problem when I was in school though. We all showed up. Fraternities, Sororities, Teams, and different groups from the school

@CoachKadell Last few games were better. Always tough getting the kids there. Being off campus doesn’t help.
