The banquet is always a special night for us. We had a lot to celebrate as it was a successful year both on and off the pitch. Congratulations ladies, and a big thank you to all of the parents who helped prepare these incredible decorations and set up for last night!

"Real love, the only kind genuinely worthy of the name, is a kind of dialectical overcoming. It only becomes possible at the point where one comes to understand the full reality of one’s beloved, which necessarily, means encountering even those qualities one finds infuriating, loathsome, or detestable. For surely, if you know enough about anyone, you will find something in them that you hate. But it’s only when one encounters that, and decides nonetheless to love them anyway, that we can talk of love as an active, redemptive, and powerful force. Real love can only be love if it conquerors hatred, but not by annihilating but by containing and transcending it, and not just once, but forever." - David Graeber

"Few men seem to realize how many of the evils from which we suffer are wholly unnecessary, and that they could be abolished by a united effort within a few years. If a majority in every civilized country so desired, we could, within twenty years, abolish all abject poverty, quite half the illness in the world, the whole economic slavery which binds down nine tenths of our population; we could fill the world with beauty and joy, and secure the reign of universal peace. It is only because men are apathetic that this is not achieved, only because imagination is sluggish, and what always has been is regarded as what always must be. With good-will, generosity, intelligence, these things could be brought about." — Bertrand Russell, Political Ideals

So glad to see this book come to light. A powerful exposé of media complicity in manufacturing consent that has enabled mass atrocities in Palestine. May there be accountability.

Humbled to share the cover of my forthcoming book. A project born of heartbreak, urgency, and the unbearable reality of watching Israel’s genocide against Palestinians unfold in real time.

Steve Kerr on his biggest concern about America Today “When I finished college almost forty years ago, if you went to school and got a degree, you could get a job and you could buy a house. Now that's out of reach for most people between student debt and home prices and the economy slanted toward the very, very top one per cent. We don't really have a middle class, and we don't have what used to represent the American Dream, which was: you can do better than your parents. We're going backward on all that. Our family is lucky. I'm in a position where my family can live well. But there are millions of people out there, young people who are looking at the horizon and saying, "I did everything I was told I needed to do, and I can't buy a house, and I can't chase my dream." Think about what that means for the stability of communities and cities and a whole country.” (Via @NewYorker h/t @warriorsworld )

Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving changed his Instagram profile picture to a photo of a Palestinian child holding a book and looking back at Israeli soldiers standing behind razor wire. The photo was originally captured by Palestinian journalist @the_andrey_x.
