Yesterday, the NCAA Committee on Access, Opportunity and Impact formally recommended a National Collegiate Flag Football Championship. Its first championship would occur in spring 2028. Last week, the North Carolina High School Athletic Association voted to sanction girls varsity flag football. Girls flag football will begin competition in the fall of the 2026-27 school year. North Carolina joins several other states that have sanctioned girls flag football in 2026! 👏🏿 bit.ly/4tpP7bl

The vote to sanction girls flag football in New Jersey was a culmination of a five-year effort led by students, coaches, schools, and advocates who believed the game deserved equal standing. Kudos to the @nyjets, who provided funding and support for the state’s first high school flag league in 2021!

My position with the @Buccaneers was eliminated last week. Thank you to the co-workers who had me laughing on a daily basis and the players/coaches/staff who made me feel like family. Coach Bowles’ nickname for me, “Smiley,” was because of you all. It is more important now than ever to be adding social media marketers to your organization. It’s about more than being able to make a TikTok — it’s about knowing the brand inside and out, protecting it like a PR professional, building relationships, being trusted as the direct line of communication with the fans, reading the room & much more. Those skills are invaluable to your company and no longer a luxury but a necessity. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience throughout my 20s. Onward and upward! 🙏🏼🫶🏼
