An absolute rising star in college basketball. From our first 5 years at Whitworth to the last 3 years at Montana State, Coach Payne has been a huge part of my 15 year journey as a HC and this title reflects both that reality, his leadership role and his future as a HC. GoCats!

We are lucky to have someone with Sam’s experience and professionalism pour into our basketball family on a daily basis! A well deserved and appropriate title for the role he plays on our staff! GoCats!

From my first basketball camp at Whitworth at 12 years old, winning championships together at Point Loma and Montana State. Shamrock has earned everything the game has given him and he continues to make everyone around him better! Future is bright as an assistant coach!
