The decline of youth baseball began when they started wearing replica uniforms with MLB names. I played for Kiwanis Cubs, Covina Dodge,Clifton's Cafeteria,Center Market, French's Mustard,& VFW 8620. Those were the names ON our jerseys. TShirts until majors. That's all you need.

@CoachLok Our rec league had a team sponsored by Hooters. They actually wanted to sponsor the whole league. We made Sports Illustrated This weeks sign of the apocalypse because of it.

@CoachLok Welp, here to say it’s not all like that anymore. My 5 year old plays rec league in South Carolina and all the teams have local business sponsors on their jerseys. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Corporate_Greg This is why Dodgers fans are insufferable. They take the stats of a couple guys in High A ball (who really should be in AA) by now, and rub it in everyone's face saying how great the Dodgers are.

The Gavin Lux trade last year is a perfect example of what makes the Dodgers so great. LA got Mike Sirota and a draft pick (which became Charles Davalan). Their stats at High-A: Sirota: .325/.464/.649, 5 HR, 13 RBI Davalan: .302/.394/.581, 6 HR, 17 RBI
