The Daily Grind ☕️ Protect What Matters Most Solomon is giving counsel to his son and tells him, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” The heart is the core of who you are, and you leak out of your heart what you’re full of. It is where your thoughts, desires, choices, and emotions come from. He is saying to treat your heart like something worth protecting... like a soldier standing watch over something valuable. Your life flows in the direction of your heart, so guard it with all diligence. - Pastor Jimmy

The Daily Grind ☕️ How To Become Devour-Proof Did you know your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour? Peter gives us clear counsel on how to become devour-proof. Be sober-minded: clear-headed, self-controlled, and spiritually alert; not spiritually dulled or distracted. Be watchful: like soldiers on guard duty, stay awake, be alert, and keep watch. Be alert to spiritual danger, like deceptive teaching. Resist him: a defensive military term meaning to stand against, oppose, withstand, or hold your ground. Firm in your faith: describes something that cannot easily be shaken or moved. This is how you resist your adversary. The good news is that Jesus won the war. Now you get to enforce His victory every day as you stand, resist, and hold your ground. - PJ
