One of the most underrated 5A athletes in the state. Douglas (AL) 2028 QB/ATH Baker Lyles (@BakerLyles) accounted for 25TDs and +1700 yards for the Eagles as a sophomore. A dual sport athlete, Lyles has lateral quickness to escape the pocket and the arm to stretch the field.

Great news today as Scottsboro High School is moving to 4A and Douglas High School is moving to Region 8.  Thanks to the AHSAA and Executive Director Heath Harmon for changing course and getting this right. I’m happy for these student athletes, coaches, and schools.

‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ another reminder that the AHSAA is a joke. No one really wanted this except the 1A-3A schools that couldn’t beat the private schools like Mars Hill and Coosa Christian. Nearly every coach I’ve spoken to doesn’t understand or agree why it is separated. 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️
