Texan boyfriend just explained that we aren't allowed to have an August-born child, because that child will be the youngest in their class and therefore, when they play sports, will be smaller than all the other kids and therefore will have a harder time. Is this seriously the shit you guys think about? He's not joking either. I genuinely don't know what to do with this. Planning kids around them playing football is so America-coded though lmao. 😂

@jhutt5 Isn’t some of this just the map and demographics? Statistically there is just a higher probability you will have east side teams at Ford Field. Only one D1 west side team can even make it to a semi final. Or are you talking talent wise?

2008 was the last time a West Michigan school won a D1 state title in football. Only 2 school from the west side have even made the finals in that span. Have we fallen too far behind the east side? What will it take to end the drought?

Being an elite position player in baseball is a unique blend of athleticism requirements like football, but also the skill requirements like golf. Oh and is the toughest mentality because you can do everything right, “win your battle”, and get a failing result. Love this game
