Bryce Harper is one of my favorite players to watch hit. Some guys in clutch moments are must see. I imagine that is what it was like watching Reggie Jackson in October. You just might see something special.

There is something incredibly powerful about a person who cannot be defeated. Everyone loses at some point in their lives, but whether or not the loss defeats us is under our control.

@BluebookBeede Agree Walter, trying to make an imperfect game into perfection is not good for the game.

@JoshReynolds24 The game is being ruined by ABS and replay on certain plays , example , over sliding a base . Fair /Foul Ball , force play or play at the plate. ABS is bad for the sport, no longer get to enjoy Glavine, Maddux type pitching!

The home plate umpire was absolutely horrific all night, this being the worst… You can’t end the game like that. You just can’t. Way too big of a moment for it to go down on this horrible strike 3 call. ABS is here to save baseball. This can’t happen.

“Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.” John 12:42-43 ESV bible.com/bible/59/jhn.1…

Arm action, delivery, athleticism, aptitude and competitiveness are all predictors of command. Some of these deliveries and arm actions I see from college pitchers have very little chance to command the ball. Max effort, low elbows, up hill, poor direction, poor front sides, head whacking, etc. Did the coaches think they would command the ball when they recruited them?

Age yourself by naming an MLB first baseman you grew up watching. I’ll start: Albert Pujols.

“Never forget that you are one of a kind. Never forget that if there weren't any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn't be here in the first place. And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life's challenges and problems seem to be, that one person can make a difference in the world. In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about. So be that one person.”

Truly one of the best attitudes I have ever been around. Teammate magnet! His aura is electric… and he can big bop.

“I don’t want people to know whether I’m 0-for-4 or 4-for-4, I’m going to have the time of my life because I’m lucky to play baseball.” @KUBaseball's Brady Ballinger (@brady_ballinger) is grateful for the chances he’s had to play the game he loves. 🔗 d1ba.se/4ujfn96

You understand every game is its own entity and you gotta go out there and play at a high level each week, and whatever you did the past week, nobody really cares about it, it doesn’t roll over into the next game, you have to bring it each game for what it is. And then when that game ends, you put that away and you go forward — win, loss, draw, whatever it may be. You gotta get geared up for the next one.”

While on the road in SC scouting @ USC, Jason Burke & I had the privilege of surprising Marlin McPhail (center) at his church. Grateful for men like this who model what it means to be “FAT” disciples: “Faithful, Available, & Teachable.” Missing our other group member, Bret Butler

Lot of over coaching happening by the coach in the dugout. Not saying all do it. Players need a few words, not an entire conversation. During game is wrong time for a lot of “coach speak”. If HC did job in practice, not a lot of coaching during game, just reminders. #2eachhisown

@OEBMcNerney @ButchBaseball29 I always wondered why some coaches stayed in the dugout and some stayed coaching 3rd

Excited for the weekend headed to See @LSUbaseball vs @SacStBaseball . Gonna find the best tailgate parties at The Box for some BBQ and great fans that love baseball. Anxious to see LSU baseball and coach @LSUCoachJ @NateYeskie two of the best coaches in America.

Louder for the people in the back! Data absolutely has a place in the game but ELITE COMPETITORS will never be replaced.

Fascinating discussion from #Texas baseball coach Jim Schlossangle today about players balancing analytics. "Anybody that's super data hungry probably is not a good player. It's way more about being a competitor." #HookEm | @KXAN_News

Coaches are you leading like Jesus lead? If not, what are some areas you can improve on? How can you make yourself more like Jesus to lead other men that Jesus put you on that coaching platform for.
