🏆🎙️ Dubuque Area Sports Podcast Coach of the Year 🎙️🏆 Congratulations to Kristine Spiegler of Wahlert Catholic on being named the Dubuque Area Sports Podcast Coach of the Year! 👏💚💛 Coach Spiegler guided a young Wahlert Catholic team all season long and had the Golden Eagles playing their best basketball when it mattered most. Wahlert finished the year with an outstanding 19-6 overall record and went 9-5 in the Mississippi Valley Conference, proving they could compete night in and night out against tough competition. 💪🏀 One of the biggest reasons for their success was their ruthless defensive mentality. Coach Spiegler had her team locked in, disciplined, and battling every possession, helping lead Wahlert to a season that ended just one win shy of a state championship appearance. 🏆🎙️ Dubuque Area Sports Podcast Coach of the Year 🎙️🏆 Congratulations to Isaac Sturm of Marquette Catholic on being named the Dubuque Area Sports Podcast Coach of the Year! 👏💙🤍 Coach Sturm led the Defenders to an incredible season, finishing with a stellar 25-3 overall record, capturing a conference championship, and going undefeated in conference play. On top of that, Marquette made an impressive run all the way to the state championship game. 🏀🔥 What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable is everything the Defenders had to replace from the year before. Marquette lost last year’s Player of the Year, had to replace four starters, and somehow found a way to make up for an incredible 69 points per game from the previous season. That kind of turnaround doesn’t happen without outstanding leadership, player development, and a culture built for success.
