I can understand why some national media bball types are undervaluing UK for their preseason polls. But hear me out. Pope had BYU in the top 25 last year with much less talent. When have we EVER seen 13 players hand picked to fit together as a team and to fill every role for a very specific style of play? This should be one of the best shot making teams this season. The style of play alone is worth 6-10 points per game. The stress Pope's style puts on the defense is immense. not just physically, but the mental fatigue is a real factor. Half a second lapse on defense is a quick cut 2 point basket. Most national media just look at the roster and think....who is "the guy". That's almost irrelevant for the style of play UK will employ this year. Not to mention we'll be getting deep into the opponent bench all season and most national media do not factor that in either. I think UK ends up being seen as a top 10 team this season. Bookmark this if you wanna troll me later.....
