As of 1pm today, there had been 42 people shot and 8 killed in Chicago so far over Memorial Day Weekend. Not including this stat in the national conversation about stopping gun violence means the real objective has very little to do with actually stopping gun violence.

It's amazing how many people "jump" at the opportunity to make today political. Let's instead make this about "humanity". We have to be more human. We are not perfect humans but we have to be more humane. This shouldn't be dividing us as humans, we need to unite.
