@ReFreshGG @skweegee13 The one positive behind rivals is the amount of money coming into it. Plus it's based around Disney IPs. I don't see it failing up front but the long term is going to depend on how they proceed with content, mechanics, and ranked.

@CoachMorrisOK @skweegee13 Yep 100%! I don't want to make a huge investment in Rivals for it to end up like all those other ones.

Collegiate esports. What's the current vibe on Rivals?

@ReFreshGG @skweegee13 Another thing to add to this look at xDefiant. Another failure to launch, Spectre Divide, another failure to launch. I think the landscape is going to correct itself at some point, I'm just hoping it doesn't come at a significant cost.

@CoachMorrisOK @skweegee13 Valid. I'm worried it doesn't have staying power though. Like Multiversus awhile back. Or Apex Arena. I've always been cautious of the game du jour. And I've never witnessed a game with licensed characters last. (SSB excluded: it is mostly 1st party license.)

@ReFreshGG @skweegee13 Yeah the Multiversus deal hurts. Reason being is WB kinda screwed the pooch. They have a ton of IPs to use but they just did not execute well. WB Games has a bad track record right now. Between Multiversus and Kill the Justice League they had to stop the bleeding.

@ReFreshGG @skweegee13 No I legit mean in our side we saw a Huge downturn for Overwatch. Like there's barely 10 teams this spring when in the fall it was healthy, really healthy.

@CoachMorrisOK @skweegee13 Lol Ive heard something like that before. Finals, Apex, Val, lots of OW killers have come and gone. I'm working on a new project and want to make sure the downward trend w/Rivals is just a fluke.

@skweegee13 @ReFreshGG Big time buy in here in Oklahoma. 3 Divisions of it in HS. MS is also running it. Rivals has replaced Overwatch
