There’s no one “right” way to prep for COD work. We mix in vector jumps, overspeed decels, wide-base cross series, red light/green light, curved runs, and small-sided games.

Sissy squats have become one of my favorite ways to build stronger knees. Slow on the way down, own the position, and let the quads do the work.

Med ball lateral ski is a simple way to build better change of direction. The med ball loads the frontal plane, challenges trunk control, and teaches athletes to absorb and redirect force.
