Parents scream “PASS THE BALL” until their kid gets it… then suddenly it’s “SHOOT IT!!!” 🤷‍♂️

As AAU live period approaches, my message to all the kids is to value winning habits over everything else. There is a difference between being capable of scoring 20 a game and looking like you’re trying to score 20 a game. Understanding that difference is key to winning/losing. 💯

Point guards this weekend if you have more turnovers than assist more than likely your team is not going to be successful and you are not going to get any offers unless you score some impressive 30pt to 40pt performance that’s efficient as hell

That’s why it really be 🧢 when these coaches be talking about weight and strength. Of course you need to get bigger and stronger but when you can boogie that shit don’t matter

You parents out there telling your kids they need to score…it’s a big mistake and you’re hurting them.

Stop telling kids they're too short for basketball. It's silly. If you can hoop, you can hoop. One of the best point guards to ever play college basketball is 5'10" and is walking away from Purdue a millionaire. Chase your dreams kids! Heart > Height

I wish there was a better way to combat the “get mine” mindset in AAU basketball. Scoring matters, but at the next level, everybody can score. Attitude. Effort. Defense. Decision making. Winning habits. Those are the things that translate. So much talent being mislead!

Live period this week players focus on talking on the court and doing things you do well. Play hard and always watch your body language when on the court and off the court. College coaches don’t wanna see you pouting. They will also be watching your family in the stands.
