@wfaaweather My senior year at South Garland in ‘82 they shut down school for a day because heating the school was draining the energy from the neighborhood….so I personally know that school can be closed due to temperature

Not true. We had widespread school closings because of cold temps in February 2021.

Our team did a great job by coming out and beating North Garland tonight! We still need a little help, but we still have a shot at the playoffs! I am sad that I did not have more time to coach this wonderful young man! Miguel Velasquez it has been a treat to coach you

We've had quite a few chilly mornings so far this winter, but only one of them has been freezing at DFW (November 27th). Normally, DFW would have seen 7 freezes at this point in the winter and we average 29 for a winter season. #wfaaweather

I have freshmen triplets on my team. Their dad is in his 40s and has late stage cancer. I just found out that they don’t believe he makes it through the night.
They don’t put how to handle this in all those coaching books out there.
