“Motivation is overrated”

It’s not that motivation is bad, in fact, it’s great when it’s there, it’s just an awful aspect to rely on when it comes to action

The mistake is not a mistake🤔
There are only two debilitating mistakes for footballers.
1. The fear of making a mistake.
2. Dwelling on a past mistake.

I used to think that every player should be calm when performing... I no longer believe that.
It's so important to know your players. Some players play better when angry, if you can help them to harness that anger it can become a great source of powerful energy.

@power_ray @TelcoDavid Haha absolutely. Yeah, micro-dosing is a great idea. They can then practice emotional regulation, but also gives them moments to work on the other aspects of the game too

Would you ‘micro-dose’ it, like a vaccination?
Give players a little bit in training without going to its fullest.
Great question though, something to think about when we want sanitised environments

Coaches often try to decrease the emotional atmosphere in training. They try to anesthesize situations so players don't become too emotional. WHY? Games are highly emotional & emotions play a huge role in learning...Therefore shouldn't we try to amplify emotion in training?
