There was no offer from Penn State They had some modest interest, then we lost to Cal, Clemson and SMU and they moved on. Because they couldn’t justify firing James Franklin and hiring the Bush Beans Bowl coach.

The guy turned down more than $2 million above what he’s getting ready to sign with Louisville for. My speculation — I would think a lower buyout on the coaches end is a way of holding the school to any commitments outside the contract in terms of revenue sharing, NIL and other things.

Especially after getting an offer from Penn State, there should have already been a contract extension for Coach Brohm finalized. This has been going on for months, Heird needs to get it done.

Can confirm that Josh Heird and Jeff Brohm met to discuss a contract extension this week, and it ended with Jeff Brohm kicking Josh Heird out of his office. I am a fan first and I share this because I think most fans want Jeff to be here for years to come.

@Toohey_sp Leverage is having other schools want to hire you and last year, he had none. Penn State didn’t want him. Michigan didn’t want him. The entire country looks at him as an 8-4 coach, which is how he’s compensated, and you people talk about him like he’s Nick Saban.

Pope still can't just get an honest recruit lol
