Too often players rush into the defenders and kill their own space. Slowing down is an effective way to challenge and ask questions of the defenders. Marner hits the breaks just after entry. The defenders eventually step and leave the space behind open for a tap in.

Not trying to be negative here. Just trying to understand, been going to see my nephew play and some other friends at prep. Player A gives pass to player B. Player b makes a nice pass to player C who scores. Instead of celebrating with your teammates who made this all happen. Player C sprints down ice to celebrate with his fans…. @HockeyThinkTank This is becoming a real problem across the US. Leagues are popping up everywhere and the orgs trying to do the right thing are losing Mite programs because parents who are new to the game think this is the path to greatness. W/O mite programs orgs eventually disappear.

An elite AAA team in a Super League for 6 year olds. Haha wow. I challenge anyone involved in this league to tell me how this is a good thing.

@MikeMcMahonCHN I am biased but I have agreed on Zacher since he was 15. He has a level of athleticism and compete that is hard to match. A lot of people missed on this one.

Some thoughts on Brown after last night: - Lawton Zacher is one of the best goalies in the country. Period. 6th in Save% and Brown allows the 14th most SOG per night. - I really like Brown's young core. Brian Nicholas, Max Scott, Tyler Kopff, Ryan St. Louis, Alex Pineau all top players and St. Louis is the only one not a Fr or Soph. Zacher is a Soph. With a little more depth (which seems to be developing) Brown can be a threat in the ECAC soon. Nicholas, Scott, Pineau, Kopff, Zacher is a heck of a core of underclassmen. Don't sleep on Ethan Mistry as a good multi-zone defenseman too.

What a great year coaching my 2015/16’s. Lots of laughs , tears and watching the girls get better. Made the playoffs without a system in site. Maybe next year we will work on D zone structure ! 😬 Btw my team is in white !
