@Gridiron_banter @Jake_B30 Your driveway and plumbing aren’t public infrastructure. The state of Illinois wants the Bears to pay for improvements to public roadways and utilities. If the locality and state are going to approve the project then they should cover their end of the bargain.

“Hey I built my house and paid for it, can you pay for my driveway since it’s infrastructure to get me on the road? My plumbing too so I don’t shit on the sidewalk? It’ll be better for everyone” What about those who give a rats ass about football. @Gridiron_banter @Jake_B30 They will own the stadium. Stadium funding is all the them. They’re asking the state to fund the infrastructure around the stadium. The same way most modern stadium deals have been done.

It’s fully on Kevin Warren and the bears. Asking for billions in tax dollars and then not wanting to contribute to the tax bill? They really think that’ll work? The whole point of their stadium investment is to increase cash flow from surrounding areas. Owning the stadium accomplishes this.
