@CoachKurzawski This is exactly the same reason why American Soccer is behind the 8 ball in regards to the rest of the world. Pay for play can take you to a certain level, but you instantly root out a ton of deserving but underrepresented athletes

Not long ago, basketball was a game for everyone. Now it’s becoming a game for the wealthy. Parents are spending tens of thousands every year on training, gear, AAU circuits, prep schools - you name it. If you really want to understand what’s changing (and hurting) the game…start there.

There’s a school of thought that some foul calls actually hurt the team receiving the call (take away a straight line drive or potential basket… think soccer) Duke gets the good whistle, Johnnie’s dont

Are they a beneficial whistle (and one, dead ball, bailouts, etc.) and Duke gets a ton of those vs advantage interrupting fouls (fouls that stop play on open drives, fast breaks, etc.)
