I won’t be returning for the rest of the Roses Championship tournament this week. I hope everyone that was there today is doing ok at this point in time. Stay safe out there!

I am glad all the families, student athletes, and coaches are safe in Kentucky. With that being said, there shouldn’t be any games played tomorrow. Basketball can hold out for a day, but the mental well being of others is more important at this time. Be well everyone ❤️

Our @MaryvilleWBB staff will not be attending the remainder of the Run 4 Roses Championship. What happened today was not normal, and should not be normalized. A very sad day for our basketball family.

If they got guns there was a shooting at Run 4 the Roses! This is very scary!

Run of the Roses Event director or staff tweeting about RESUMING play tomorrow is insensitive and irresponsible. Some of these kids may have never heard a gun shot ever in their life let alone be part of an active shooter! To think they’re just gonna wake up n hoop tomorrow! 🤡

@coachgaulman @TFNsRun4Roses i don’t think it was false players and parents heard shots kids are reporting they saw a person w a gun shoot out a window . apparently this happens often there when i spoke to locals .

The @TFNsRun4Roses director should be ashamed. Regardless of false alarm or not, that FEELING is something their kids will never forget and is a parent’s worst nightmare. The only, ONLY concern should be the mental health and state of those young people.

Sorry to all our recruits, but I won’t be at the rest of Run4Roses. I will not partake in making this feel “acceptable” No one, especially our youth, should have to experience that & “just be okay” & play. Not after seeing tears & terror on so many faces. Be well & see yall soon!
