So i suppose what im asking, and i apologize, as im sure it's probably already been posted, i've looked but didnt find it. But what im asking is are you teaching the Inside Zone play as "Look-Lean-Climb", are you utilizing a Count 0-1-2-3 etc. We utilize combos "us 2 to those 2" but also have the ability to make a full zone call. Would be happy to discuss over the phone as well if it's easier.

@CoachSCDub BSG stays on the Los for a count laterally and stuffs the 3 back to the T. I don’t pierce right now esp vs a 2 gap. Doesn’t effect the play as you can “U” the lb out anyway as most of my mid zone plays cut up inside as I don’t use wide zone techs.

Boards: No, because each kids step/gate is different, not good to ask them to take the same size step. Chutes: No, because each kid is a different height, and has different dimensions (torso v leg length) so it doesnt accurately work for all of my guys. Sleds: Usually No, we have a "Crowther-Ish" sled, we used it twice last year, but i prefer having them fit up on actual bodies.

@CoachMateos @CoachjakeOL We were a run off the ball team last year, intro'd the vertical lift with guys on friday, about a 50-50 bag of which one works better for each of the guys. Might have to tweak it and blend

OL Question 🚨🚨 When setting hand in the run game, do you teach elbow glued to hips or what I call the “holster” set up. To me the holster has less strength and takes an extra movement that gives DL advantage. Would love to hear y’all’s points!

Talking Specifically about the Lead player in a Zone Double team. Ex a Guard with a 3-Tech Are you a Vertical-Lift with a low lifting hand that roots the elbow on the Hip/Abs and focuses on rolling the hips to create upward lift Or a run off the ball and reach the aimpoint with knuckles up, with the butt behind, emphasizing running off the football.

@CoachjakeOL Depends entirely on the block being executed. I think there are some blocks you don’t want to lead with hands. Also sometimes low hands wins. The better emphasis is getting 2 in the ground with hand contact when executing 1 on 1 blocks if that’s what we’re talking about.
