2 yrs ago I volunteered at fan fest for CFP game in New Orleans, I had the opportunity to take a pic with the championship trophy but I couldn’t touch it ,so I refused the picture and told my mom I wouldn’t take unless I could touch it. 2 years later I got the pic. #GoDawgs

In my opinion, former successful players are not too fond of starting out as a position coach or analyst. There’s a lot of grunt work not appeasing to former 7 figure a year athletes, and you’re usually working for someone that may not have played since HS or was walk-on that stayed and worked his way up.

Online applications for this are pointless. Unless you know someone in a franchise, are a former player, or have already done the fellowship elsewhere, you don’t have a chance. The intent of this program is fantastic. The execution of choosing who does it is awful.

No. FCS playoffs are not really financially lucrative for most HBCUs. Think about the playoff selection and how it has been. In the early 90’s and 00’s Famu should have easily been an automatic qualifier into the FCS playoffs. Haven’t had a HBCU win a FCS playoff game since ‘99
