Year 1 of powerlifting in the books. 1 boy placed 9th in state while my girl placed 3rd in state. Most importantly everyone finished the season healthy!! This season has helped me grow & become a better man & S&C coach!!

Saturday Ailani Solis-Fuller competed in the State Powerlifting meet and didn’t disappoint. Competing in 97lb weight class, Ailani squatted 245lbs, Benched 110lbs and Deadlifted 295lbs a total of 650lbs. This total helped Ailani place 3rd at state! Congratulations

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Veterans Memorial coach Leyton Hernandez, who passed away at age 28 following a crash Friday afternoon. Hernandez was in his fifth year teaching and coaching at Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi. Our thoughts are with his family, students, and the Eagles community during this difficult time
