Great night for the freshman at CSL South Freshman Indoor Conference! With only five distance runners, most of them double or tripled up. Highlights: 4x800 - 4th (Meyers, Kislovsky, Gil, Tossing) 3200 - Gelber 3rd 10:40 1600 - Tossing 3rd 4:53, Gelber 4th 4:46 Bright futures!

Earlier this week at the Cabin Fever Invitational we were led by two impressive PRs: Jamie Chandler 2nd in the mile in 4:17.19 and Sam Chaban breaking 2 and placing 4th in the 800m 1:59.92.

This frosh/soph crew won the VARSITY 4x800m relay at the Maine East Invite in 9:07.60! Jace Tossing (fr) - 2:17 Lev Shulman (so) - 2:16 Shai Yeger (so) - 2:16 Itai Gelber (fr) - 2:17

A great battle by Jamie Chandler in the two-mile today running 9:18.76! That's Deerfield's fastest indoor two-mile time this century. Also, very impressive heat wins by Andrew Calderon in the two-mile (9:36.84) and Sam Chaban in the mile (4:37.43).

Sam Chaban wins a very close 800m at the Plainfield South Invitational by a lean! 2:04.62! Ethan Reich third 0.36 seconds behind Chaban.

Sequoit Showdown two-mile CHAMPION Ethan Reich with a 9:48.20 PR!

Kicked off the season with WINS in the very first two track events! At Rockford Auburn, the 4x800 won big in 8:15.87 (Chaban, Reich, Calderon, Chandler) and then in the 3200m Albrecht-Buehler and Shifrin went 1-2.

Very cool to receive this banner from @NikeXcountry for finishing in the top 20 at the NXR Midwest Region for teams from Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Missouri.

Another great race earns the Deerfield Distance Crew 20th place in the Midwest!! What a season!

Huge congratulations to Jamie Chandler who is IHSA ALL-STATE with his 9th place finish in 14:30! -Deerfield's best ind. finish and time since 1997. -6th fastest time in school history. State Meet Progression FR: 202nd and medical tent SO: 144th 3A JR: Stress fracture SR: 9th!

An incredible season ends with a 3rd place finish at State! This was our best race of the season, heck, our best team performance in nearly 50 years. What a ride! The TEAM, the TEAM, the TEAM

Onto STATE!! 2nd place at the Lakes Sectional! Huge race from Jamie Chandler who finished fourth in 14:48! A 21-second PR and Deerfield's fastest time since 2007.

Additionally, we put a target on the JV race all season to show our depth and that our strength is a varsity mentality on all levels. No team besides New Trier has won this JV race as far back as results exist on the internet (we found 15 years). Today, we won JV with 17 points!
